Textbook dialogues get boring fast, and real Spanish news is a wall. Context Spanish sits in between: short non-fiction pieces about history, culture and current arguments, each rewritten at three levels so you read something worth reading at a difficulty that actually fits.
Every piece includes a one-tap English version beside the Spanish, the vocabulary that matters in context, comprehension questions, and native-recorded audio so you hear the same text you just read.

A2 Foundations
Present tense, short sentences, everyday vocabulary. Start here if you can follow simple Spanish but still lose the thread in native articles.

Subjunctive, idiom, hedging and argument. Close to what an educated native reader meets in the press.

How to practise so it sticks
- 1. Read the Spanish first. Don't reach for the English until you have been through the whole piece once.
- 2. Then check yourself. Turn on the English column and see where your guess drifted from the meaning.
- 3. Listen while you re-read. Hearing the text you already understand is what turns reading into listening.
- 4. Level up on the same piece. Read the B1 version of something you met at A2 — the content is familiar, so the harder grammar is the only new thing.
