B1 Spanish reading practice

B1 is the level most self-taught learners get stuck at, because the jump from graded texts to native press is brutal. These pieces close that gap: full paragraphs, past tenses, real argument — written to be read, not decoded.

What you meet at B1: preterite and imperfect together, present perfect, relative clauses, reported speech, discourse connectors (sin embargo, aunque, a pesar de).

Every piece below is written at B1 as well as the other two levels, so you can read the same subject again a step higher once it feels comfortable. English sits beside the Spanish on request, and the audio is recorded by native speakers.
